About "The Friends"

The Friends of the Moonridge Zoo (FOMZ) was established in 1989 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. You can view a copy of our original IRS Treasury Department Letter of Determination.

Our mission is "to support the Moonridge Animal Park through educating the public regarding treatment, protection, and conservation of wildlife; recruiting and coordinating zoo volunteers; and fundraising.  Furthermore, we are dedicated to supporting Park improvements.
